From the data center to the database.
My career has run the full stack of scale. The IBM virtualization-management work behind most of the patents below — process collections, server-mobility policy, service-impact correlation — taught me how large systems actually fail, recover, and stay up.
At Zenoss I led engineering. At Amazon I became the Worldwide Technical Leader for NoSQL and developed the single-table design patterns now standard for high-scale workloads. Most recently, as a Field CTO, I work at the convergence of relational, document, graph, and AI workloads — the through-line behind the Unified Model Theory and the benchmark programs in the Work.

One model, not five.
Most data platforms bolt together five specialized stores — relational, document, graph, time-series, search — and a web of pipelines to keep them in sync. Unified Model Theory holds that those are projections of one canonical form, not separate databases: one source of truth, zero sync, and — critically for AI — no eventual-consistency gap where a model reads stale data and hallucinates.
